This is the first peony to bloom in our back yard in 2010. They are beautiful flowers, and I love working with the photos. (I am allergic to them, and the peony season is mercifully short.)

This photo was taken with an Olympus Stylus 1200 and manipulated using Corel's Paint Shop Photo Pro and Painter Essentials. The bearded irises grow in our back yard just along the house, facing west northwest. The wind has been very strong, and I expect that they'll soon be gone, again. Photo taken 2010-05-27.

There are lots of these violets in our lawn. The blooms do not last very long, but the flowers are beautiful while they last. This photo was taken on 2010-05-18. I started with the watercolor script in PSP, and manipulated both the texture and the saturation.
